Typical for Gozo are the many farmhouses, townhouses and houses of character that have been converted to house holidaymakers. These are spread all over the island, typically in the countryside on the outskirts of villages and relatively far from the sea. This type of self catering accommodation is extremely popular on Gozo since these properties are ideal and enjoyable not only in summer but also throughout winter, spring and summer.

Many of these houses have swimming pools and deck area where guests can have BBQs. Some also have beautiful views and most of them are situated in quiet areas providing peaceful holiday homes.

Farmhouses often have 3 or 4 bedrooms and are ideal for groups of friends or families. Many of the apartments are of a high standard and are extremely good value. Most of the licensed apartments on Gozo are in Xlendi or Marsalforn, therefore near the sea but there are some others in Victoria and other villages.
